I had the Make Room for Santa 5K this morning, and while I didn't PR, I'm feeling pretty good about the event. After all, I spent something like 4 of the last 6 weeks sick and unable to do much training. It was freaking cold out there! When I turned on the windshield washer option on the wipers to clear the dew from the windshield, the washer fluid froze!
ETA: That 58:30 was "gun" time. Had I realized before the start of the event that it wasn't chip-timed, I might have tried to remember to take my HRM, which IIRC has a stop watch function. But then, I think my brain was frozen, since I remembered to grab a jacket but completely forgot my arm warmers!
